Custody Services - Safekeeping of Assets

The Bank is bound by the Investment Services Act (Control of Assets) Regulations (S.L. 370.05) and the Investment Services Act (Custodians of Collective Investment Schemes) Regulations (S.L. 370.32) whereby it is obliged to hold and segregate customer assets away from its own assets at all time and in a manner that these may be easily recognized, identified and reconciled.

At no time will the Bank hypothec, pledge, short sell or stock lend customer assets to third parties.

The Bank’s custody network is built with a ‘’no-single point of failure’’ principle allowing for assets to transition from one provider to another in case of recovery.

Our Network includes the following relationships.

As a preferred option, the Bank will choose to hold assets closest to the CSD.

Clearstream, Euroclear, SIX and the Malta Stock Exchange

Transfer Agency Arrangements

The Bank has over 60 direct relationships with Fund Administrators and Transfer Agents in addition to FundSettle platform

Precious Metals

The Bank offers storage of a variety of coins and bars made of gold, silver, platinum and palladium in its vaults in Switzerland
