Sparkasse Bank Malta plc has established a branch in Ireland from where it is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland to act as Depositary to Irish authorised investment funds.

From Ireland we seek to support the local fund industry by bringing to the market an alternative in the depositary space. Our goal is to provide our fund customers and their service providers with a highly personalised service through our robust infrastructure and highly trained and experienced team of professionals.

In conjunction with the Bank, we seek to deliver a holistic solution to our customers including Banking, execution, settlement, safekeeping, monitoring and oversight solutions from one account.

The branch is led by Mr. Donncha Morrissey as the Head of Branch, who has worked in the Irish funds industry since 2002.  Donncha commenced his career with the State Street, and prior to joining the Bank worked as part of the senior management team of Citi’s depositary business, charged with responsibility for client management, business management and with product development.
